Report: Deandre Ayton agrees to max offer sheet with Pacers

Deandre Ayton has played his first 4 seasons with the Suns.

Deandre Ayton is potentially wandering out of the desert, agreeing to a restricted free agent offer sheet with the Pacers, per ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski. The deal will reportedly hit the maximum, topping out over $130 million across four seasons.

The Suns will have 48 hours to match Indiana’s offer or allow Ayton to move on.

The No. 1 overall selection in 2018, Ayton has played four seasons with the Suns, progressing into a two-way force and a key cog in their run to the 2021 NBA Finals and the ensuing dominant regular-season campaign.
