Blazers center Jusuf Nurkic out at least 4 weeks with left foot injury

Jusuf Nurkic will be sidelined for at least a month.

Trail Blazers center Jusuf Nurkic will miss time after being diagnosed with left foot plantar fasciitis, the team announced on Wednesday. He will be reevaluated in four weeks.

The 27-year-old Bosnian has played through symptoms of plantar fasciitis during the entire 2021-22 season, a campaign that has included several injuries for Portland.

The Blazers are currently fighting for a Play-In spot, standing at 10th in the Western Conference.

Nurkic has averaged 15 points and a career-high 11.1 rebounds through 56 starts this season. His 30 double-doubles rank eighth in the NBA.
