En Fuego Youth Basketball
En Fuego is in Mexico and our aim is to organize and administer youth basketball camps, positional clinics and after
school basketball programs for elementary schools in Mexico City.
Our
programs provide school aged
boys and girls an opportunity to discover their brillance as basketball
players and as people while learning importance of sportsmanship,
discipline and the value of leading a healthy and active lifestyle.
En Fuego is positioned to
be a leader in the development of youth basketball in Mexico City.
After successful summer camps in
2006 and 2007, En Fuego entered into partnership with the Winpenny School
to offer students an after school youth basketball and ultimately
develop an Winpenny-En Fuego Hoops basketball club team.
The En Fuego Hoops/Winpenny
Basketball program is offered to students ages 5 and up with training
sessions taking place Monday-Thursday with games to be played on
Fridays.
Please contact the Winpenny School for more information.
Player Development Clinics
En Fuego Hoops works
with high school aged players in Mexico who aspire to earn a
basketball scholarship at a university in the United
States. As former NCAA student athletes we know what it takes
academically and physically to compete at the NCAA level. We combine
tutoring services for student athletes preparing for university
admissions while working with players to develop their physical
strength and skills to improve their overall game. For
young players with the desire to attend a U.S. college or university
and play NCAA basketball, please contact us about organizing an individual progra.
Opportunities
En Fuego Hoops is looking for professional and
knowledgeable male and female basketball coaches. Ideal candidates
should have experience playing, coaching and classroom teaching
experience. Coaching is done in english, though some command of spanish
is very helpful. Interested candidates please email us a letter of interest explaining why you want to coach basketball in Mexico.
