LNBP Playoffs, Ayon’s PER, Meza Heads To Venezuela

Gustavo 'El Titan' Ayon, tore it up last night with the Hornets, even though they lost, he made his impact felt with 16 points. He might have arrived as a 'we'll bring him along slowly' type guy but if he can produce like he did last night the Titan will surely get some more run. Right now, his per minute productivity is the highest on the team. He was playing in the ACB, last year, he's doesn't need any more time, c'mom already Monty!... David Meza  helped team Mexico finish with a silver medal against Puerto Rico at the Pan Am games, and recently ended his season with the Soles in the first round of the LNBP playoffos and now he's heading to the Trotamundos in Venezuela's LPB. Soles head coach, Ivan Deniz, his assistant in Mexicali, Ronald Guillen, PG David Cubillan and F Jose Vargas will also be heading to the Trotamundos...coach Deniz will be looking for another deep post season run in Venezuela this year...The LNBP semi finals kicked off last night and Fuerza Regia lost to the defending champion Toros of Nuevo Laredo, 88-74. Elyz Guzman had 26 and Lonnie Vasquez dropped 18 for the Toros. Fuerza got 21 from Terrance Shannon and 19 from Donta Smith..will Fuerza bounce back tonight at home? In the second semifinal, Luis Bethelmy and Gregory Vargas combined for 45 as the Halcones Rojos  beat up on the Pioneros in game one, 92-68. Cancun got 19 from Leroy Hickerson...all four teams run it back tonight in game two's...play like it's your last day on earth...
