Or do they? EFH is trying to get to the bottom of this dilemma: who are the top players in Latin America not playing in the NBA. The tour kicked off in Argentina, but Ultimabola.com.ar is still working on their list. In the meantime we've got some live debate about the state hoops in Mexico to sum iti up, check the latest...
"Im sorry but no Mexican is good enough to make an NBA roster. Beck has made a summer league roster this year and last year but still isnt good enough to make a roster. He averaged 10 pts. last year and he probably wont get any better seeing as he 28 years old I believe. Mata will NEVER play in the NBA. He has over achieved. Hes athletic, strong a solid defender but he is so bad offensively. He couldnt get any playing time with Xalapa last season and if he doesnt make a drastic improvement in his offensive game he will always play in LNBP. Ayon has the best chance because he made an ACB roster and will be able to improve. Hes not that young though (24) so if he wants to make it he has about 2 seasons over there to do it..."
We seem to have a gap in the pipeline with Gustavo Ayon as the youngest talent of note and then a void or an absence of names on the up and coming list. 'Coach Zee' gave us Cezar Guerrero, a youngster in the waiting perhaps, see for yourself and decide.

Who's En Fuego in Argentina?
Yeah, that's right, Nitro started it, I'm to blame! You'll thank me for it because I, in the end, am educating you. Well, I have to be educated first and then I'll pass the knowledge along to you, teacher-student relationship, remember? Socrates and Plato...or something like that. (Someone email me if it's the other way around or if Aristotle was in there...could he shoot threes?)
Anyway, the Southern Hemisphere ballers in Argentina and En Fuego Hoops have embarked on an unofficial quest to name the best players from Latin America NOT playing in the NBA. If you haven't been there already, check www.ULTIMABOLA.COM.AR for the latest on who is the next Manu 'Jordan' in Argentina. We're gonna go around the horn in America Latina to find the best talent. Feel free to chime in if you'd like, it goes like this: give us your best five Argentinians, (or Mexicans for that matter) who are NOT playing in the NBA and we'll tell you if you're right. That's how a student-teacher relationship works, remember? Email me here or comment below...Play like it's your last day on Earth, sucka.
